Duties Description

Are you interested in starting your career as a Family Health Nurse Practitioner with New York State? Rochester Psychiatric Center is recruiting a Nurse Practitioner Family Health to provide patient-centered primary health care to individuals with mental illness. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.

As Nurse Practitioner Family Health, you will provide primary health care including:

• Conducting physical examinations.
• Diagnosing and treating health conditions.
• Establishing individual goals and treatment objectives in conjunction with treatment team.
• Prescribing medications and treatments, monitoring impact, and modifying as needed.
• Maintaining medical records and documentation.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates from outside or within State Service may be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Nurse Practitioner Family Health if they have certification and current registration as a Nurse Practitioner in the Family Health specialty practice area by the New York State Education Department.

OR

Candidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Additional Comments:

Posted Salary is the sum the statutory job rate for PS&T Grade 24 $115,252, plus a Geographic Differential of $25,000.
